This issue has spiraled out of control. It's a total fiasco. We've tried just about everything to fix it, but nothing seems to work. At this point, it feels like we're toast. Frankly, I don't know what else to do. This is a nightmare of epic proportions.

Dreadful Day Ever
It all started with Very bad my case of uncontrollable hair. I couldn't figure it to look decent. As I was dashing out the door, I trippedover and dropped my lunch all over my new shoes. To make matters worse, I was completely behind schedule for school.
I flustered. My {boss|mentor|was absolutely furious. I managed to explain, but it was a complete disaster.
The rest of the day was even worse. seemed to conspire against me. I stay awake.
By the time I got home, I was exhausted. This day, this terrible day will be forever remembered as a day to forget.

It all started out badly with a simple mishap/incident/screw-up. But then it went from bad to absolutely terrible. A series/chain/cascade of unfortunate/awful/disastrous events unfolded/occurred/piled on top each other, leaving me feeling like I was in a nightmare/horror movie/comedy of errors. It's the kind of situation where you just want to throw your hands up.
